About Grace Covington
Grace Covington is a native of Richmond, Virginia, and has called Houston, Texas, home for the past ten years. The daughter of a preacher, she began singing in church at a young age, where her love for music and ministry first took root. Throughout her upbringing, Grace continued to develop her gift through show choir, jazz choir, and chamber ensemble in high school, laying the foundation for a lifelong journey in music. Grace has performed with several well-known cover bands, including BS&M; and The Ziggy Band, showcasing her versatility across genres such as pop, R&B;, country, jazz, and rock. She was also a member of Belief, a neo-soul and rap fusion band that performed across the country, blending powerful vocals with creative artistry. Her musical journey has also taken her overseas, where she performed in two international musical adaptations of Sister Act—one throughout Italy and another across Germany and Austria. In addition to her live performance experience, Grace is also a recording artist and songwriter. She has written and released original music and works as a session singer for various artists. Her collaboration with Chris Chris on the song Sampson and Delilah reached the iTunes Top 10 charts, reflecting her artistry and strong presence in both worship and mainstream music spaces. Grace’s leadership experience includes serving as the Children’s Choir Director at Faith and Family Church, the Youth Worship Director at Hope City, and currently the Worship Director for the contemporary services at Foundry Church, where she also leads the Youth Praise Team. Her performance highlights include singing the National Anthem for an NBA game between the Washington Wizards and the Oklahoma City Thunder. She has also opened for artists such as Corinne Bailey Rae, Sheryl Crow, Anthony Hamilton, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Lyfe Jennings, Jay-Z at the Rock the Vote event, and many others. With years of experience spanning live performance, worship leadership, recording, and music education, Grace brings both passion and professionalism to every musical environment she leads.
